One thing I learned to hate less over the years of travelling is applying for a visa. I envy all of you who are born to a citizenship where you don’t need to apply for a visa!
Indonesian nationality is not by far the worse, but we are nowhere up there either. We can thankfully visit a lot of South East Asian countries visa free or at least with visa on arrival, but other than that, visa is required. The one I envy the most, is Schengen visa, because it’s neighbours of the UK and I go quite a lot. Plus I can enter 26 and counting countries with the same visa! (More countries are added to the Schengen region, and some neighbouring countries allow you to enter visa free if you have a valid Schengen visa).
However, many years of applying for visa has helped I think. I become more familiar with the steps and understand more on how to fill the forms, etc. And maybe soon, I don’t have to do this anymore!
